Hey there loyal Quid Pod Quoers! Thanks for your patience while we worked overtime, recovered from illnesses, and generally got our lives and schedules straightened out. Much like last time, in order to make up for our delay, we’re bringing the heat with extra reviews: The Voices, In The Loop, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Spy!
I review Ridley Scott’s latest film, Prometheus (99.9990% spoiler free!) and get much more analytical about a film than I have in a while. Does my critique hold water, or is my head just up my arse? You be the judge!
What’s this? A video review?!?! Why yes it is! As part of our Quid Pod Quo 2.0 refresh, we’re adding some video reviews to the mix to give more content more often. Justine will still be doing her text reviews on the site from time to time, but I’m quitting that jazz, and when I need to do a quick review, it’ll be in this format! It didn’t make sense to change the Quid Pod Quo format from 2 movies to one, and still call it an episode. So unless it’s paired with another movie, it’ll get a text review from Justine and/or a video review from yours truly. Hope you guys enjoy!
Welcome back Quid Pod Quoers! This week we watched two films written by screenwriting darling of the indie scene, Diablo Cody. Both our hosts have strong feelings going into the episode (Justine liked Juno, Jared hated the writing). Will they feel the same after watching Jennifer’s Body and Young Adult? Will Jared have to dust off his Emma Stone rant from The Help? Did Justine really see Jennifer’s Body before, or is she horribly mistaken? Find out now!
A little way into the Jennifer’s Body segment, my mic cut out and we had to re-record another day, so we may repeat ourselves. Sorry!
