Hey there loyal Quid Pod Quoers! Thanks for your patience while we worked overtime, recovered from illnesses, and generally got our lives and schedules straightened out. Much like last time, in order to make up for our delay, we’re bringing the heat with extra reviews: The Voices, In The Loop, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Spy!
It’s a threeway! As payback for Jared picking the “Before” series, Justine picked three comedies to make Jared watch: Grandma’s Boy, Little Nicky, and Pitch Perfect. What did he think? Did Justine’s plan for revenge backfire?
Happy 2015 everyone! We kick off the year with a bonus review of one of the last movies to hit theaters in 2014, Into the Woods! Does the Disney bought musical hit high notes or does it fall flat? Also, at the top of our show we give our top 3 movies of 2014 and top 3 movies we were forced to review last year. Welcome back to Quid Pod Quo, QPQers! Unfortunately Donnie Darko and Southland Tales have to wait for another day. But we did get to watch & review The Perks of Being a Wallflower and End of Watch. However for some reason we spend a lot of time discussing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (some spoilers!), Scott Pilgrim vs the World, and the TNT cop drama Southland (not Tales). Listen to Jared get apoplectic over manic pixie dream girls, and hear why Justine considers it a negative when a movie reminds her of one of her favorite TV shows.
Also, please take a couple of minutes to fill out our survey, so we can learn about our audience. Thanks!
